I have been using ScoreNinja in Cavedroid for a while now and it has served its purpose very well. Lately however, it has become somewhat a victim of its own success. Increasingly it has been going over its AppEngine quota making it unusable.
I thought about taking the source of ScoreNinja, modifying it slightly to point to my own server and then writing my own version of the server side code (as that is not publicly released) but realised if I was going to do that I might as well create my own scoring system.
So both as an exercise for myself and to hopefully help me and others overcome the ScoreNinja problem, I decided to create Simple Scores.
I don’t normally like to talk about things before I have anything particularly usable to show people but I know that ScoreNinjas issues have been annoying a lot of Cavedroid players so I thought I should mention that I’m working on the problem.
I plan on having something to actually show within a couple of weeks or so, providing nothing else comes along. I’ll describe it in more detail then.

Another update to cavedroid. No real new features, except for a Chinese translation, this time round.
New in this version:
* Language support for both mainland and traditional chinese.
* Fixed the annoying bug that makes the tilt modes behave strangely when the phone is at funny angles.
* Made the horizontal tilt inverted by default as that seems to be the way most people like it.
Download it through the Android Market or here.

Sorry for the delay but here’s the latest update to Cavedroid. This will most likely be the last update for a while while I work on other stuff.
Changes in this version:
* Added in the much requested two-way tilt, it’s quite challenging. Let me know what you think.
* A few minor graphical changes.
* Shows a random donator at the end of the game (why it now needs the INTERNET permission)
Download it on the Android market or here
